Nandini Ahuja (NHP)
Hello everyone! I'm Nandini Ahuja from New Hyde Park Memorial High School, and I'm one of your Secretary Generals for this year's SIDMUN. I have been an active participant in Model UN since ninth grade and am President of NHP's club this year. In my four years of MUN, I have attended RUMUN once, NHSMUN three times, HMUN once and PHILMUN once. I have also attended our very own SIDMUN three times, and am extremely excited to watch all five of the committees this year debate some of the most pressing issues of modern day. Aside from MUN, I am one of the copy editors of The Chariot, a member of the marching band and Romanettes and an active member of the French Club. I also love to read tabloids and any fashion magazine I can get my hands on. I am positive that after all of the hardwork the Secretariat has put into SIDMUN XVII, every delegate will find this year's conference an enriching experience. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me at nahuja92@optonline.net.

Stanley Soman (SHS)
Hello everyone! My name is Stanley Soman, one of your Secretary-Generals. Doing MUN since 7th grade, the things I’ve learned has helped me to understand how countries interact on the global stage and showed the many different perspectives to solutions. It has also taught me how to research a country’s profile in-depth and to be prepared for any topic related to that country and most importantly be knowledgeable enough to take on 2am crises. I hope all delegates come with an attitude to win and learn something new from their fellow delegates. If you’ve questions or need help at all drop me an email at soman.stanley@gmail.com Until then, keep on Munning!

Ketsia St. Armand (SHS)
Hey there! I'm Ketsia Saint-Armand, a current senior at Sewanhaka High School. I've been in Model UN since sophomore year, attended both AUMUN and RUMUN, won awards at both conferences, and have enjoyed every moment of it. I'm Secretary of my school's Student Council, the newspaper's Editor-in-Chief, Mock Trial team Captain and President, a Science Olympiad, Foreign Language Honor Society and Varsity track team member, and President of the National Honor Society, among other things. I plan to go into the field of law and (hopefully) become a law school professor. MUN really helped give me a sense of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life; I credit it with giving definition to the last few years of my high school experience. I'll be continuing MUN and my other activities at whatever school I attend next year, and will most likely major in Political Science. When I'm not in school, I enjoy reading all sorts of comics, hanging out with friends, and taking long, aimless runs. Occasionally, I dabble in applied mathematics, and will be participating in the Long Island Al Kalfus Math Fair for the second time this year. For fun, I play emotionally expensive pieces on the piano and violin, with Chopin and Debussy being my favorite composers. I'll be chairing you for the first and last time, but I hope that it'll be a memorable experience chock-full of inspiring and eloquent debate. If you have any questions about anything, email me (I don't bite) at ksarmand@gmail.com. Best of luck!
